I can’t advice about the residency but i have something to say.

You need to know what makes you fail that USMLE is very expensive and time consuming exams I believe no one want to go through all that again and again.

Set with someone who passed with high scores and learn his study technique practice questions in timed mood do USMLE WORD q bank and other q banks if you are not sure do NMBE. Don’t rush to the exam if you are not fully prepared

The exam day is very important I am not going to say have a good night sleep i never heard of anyone how could do that but try to get some rest take good meal with you and stay CALM you are going fined completely new stuff in your exam just write your guess and move on.

once u decide that u wonna do the steps,don't give up..it will pay off at the end..

i agree with u that it is not good to have attempts in the exam..but that doesn't mean that u wont get chances..there are sooooooooooooooo many IMGs got residency positions despite that they have attempts..

the most imp. thing now u have to get a great score..so many programs pay attention to your score an ignore your past trials..

u can also make up ur CV by having a US clinical experience..

I hope that u r a recent graduate..

very good score+USCE+recent graduation will give you a great chance

just an advice for the exam,try to test urself bu NBME exam..this will give u a very good idea if u r ready for the real exam or not..
