I hope you get what you want ,your gradution year is good for now but you must work fast, i did't know that i need to apply with in 3_5 years of my gradition date learn from my mistake and work fast especially if you need visa.

as well I would like before all to thanks allah alot and of course my deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep thanks to SAMA, really they provide me with precious help. my sincere thaks to Dr. Abusin, Dr. Zarroug and Dr. Osama Eltayeb, and to all shbaab im MI (Abobakr ali, Amged abdelaziz, Faris alkhidr, Alnasif, and all other guys) and to shbaab in mayo (Yassar, Tarig beraima and alshazali, and Adil)..
Alhmdulelah I got matched in preliminary Surgery in Mayo, wa d3watkom for the categorical…
first of all I would like to say nothing is impossible in USA, and of course everything depends on tofeeg, plz trust urself and never give up, if u work hard and targeting a goal u will get it inshaala..
here are some tips for you to be ana ideal highly competitive applicants:
US experience (Externship/ or even observership do your best to impress the staff and get a strong recommendation letter from USA certified doctors, always try to build up a good relation ship, as public relations play a great role to get interview and then matched), research hx (if not in USA in Sudan or any where else, but always, published researches are better but anything has its role), year of grad (fresh grads are preferred (less than 3 or 5 as max) but still if u r an old one still u have the chance just strength urself in other fields there are many examples for those who got matched and grad more than 5 yrs ago),apply as early as possible i.e try to get ur paper ready and uploaded in ur account by 1st of septmber (send ur recommendation letter to ECFMG by 1st of august)(as comes first served first, remember u need any advantage to get matched) score step1 then score step2, others (step3 if get the result before u apply to the match, ..)

USA is a big country and there are many spots waiting for u
never give up and do ur best and be active (don't stay in ur place waiting for the chance, but go to the place where u can find the chance, don't say this is worthless bservership or research opportunity, anything can help u and can open up other chances)
and before all never forget to ask allah altofeeeg

my apology for the late reply..
it seems that there are many sudanese doctors planning to apply for 2012 match..
inshAallah u can make it..
I know all those concerns..scores..experience..grad. year..and all other issues that make u have continuous headache..
I consider my case is tawfeeg mn Allah first ..and then the great help that i had from a great supporters..
but the thing that i need u to know very well..that beside the high score,the grad. year play a big role..even that i was graduated in 2005,i was surprised that there are so many programs have a cutoff graduation year..
sooooooooooooo i think u have to apply as sooooooooooooooooooooon as u can..
the sooner u apply,the greater chance to have a residency position..
DON'T forget that we have many sudanese residents currently in the us..
they really play an imp. role in helping the applicants to get interviews..
so don't worry..u will make it..just do your part:

congratulations to all our colleagues who have been matched this year and hope for them more and more success in their lives.
Iam a match applicant for the season 2012 in sha allah so plz we need your advice and tips on the match process, what helps and what harms, especially regarding scores, fresh graduate years, observerships, ……. all what you think that is important and could be of help.

I'm MO, graduated on Aug.2008 , planning to take USMLE exams to apply for residency in US, I'm planning to be certified by ECFMG by sept. 2012-insha allah-, and i need to know my chance for being matched,(suppose my 2 digits score is above 95),,, i'm on need for your help, and of course your great advices regarding any thing that could help.
