u r always welcome Safi eldein, I don't think u will need more than one month and even if u r still not feeling comfortable with urself to take the exam u may try the self assessment exam and look out for ur status to take the exam or not. However inshala one month will be more than enough if u finished from the USMLE world (and kaplan lecture notes and first aid)

Regading tips for step 2CK

there is a common questions (what are the books we need to read for step2CK)

I think many of you if not all know about the first aid and ranking lists of books that it contains, but from own point of view, as well the examinee should be pracitical, yes a book could be ranked as A + for a subject but do i have enough time to read it or will i be patient enough to read it, so i think it will be useful if everyone put the books from which he/she read and the score that he/she got by these reading these books…

for me I got (99/258) I sit for the exam after one year from graduation and the books i read are:

1- Kaplan series (and Kaplan Video lectures just per need i.e. if there is something that is not clear in the note book)

First congratulations for the high score that you got on step one and keep the good work.

Second regarding step 2 CS I will refer you to Tips for USMLE 2 CS and I trust you will find some useful tips there.

Third to apply for the next matching without having your ECFMG certificate will really weaken your status because the preferred minimum that you have your scores for step one and two ck in your hands and waiting for the results of the CS when you start applying, anyway there is no universal equation for the matching?

Important issues to consider:

• Do you have US clinical experience?
• What do you want to apply to?
