This patient is a 10 years old girl recently adopted from Russia. Her adoptive parents for brought her to the outpatient clinic for a routine medical evaluation. She is healthy with no significant medical problems. On examination she was noted to have a hairless spot in the center of her scalp with a pebbly surface and orange hue.
