SAMA Donates 130 Cubarithms for Alnour Institute for the Visually Impaired in Khartoum

Glimmer of Hope is a registered non profit organization in Sudan that works in advocacy & support for the visually impaired in Sudan. They closely work with Alnour Institute, the only National Educational Institution to cater for the visually impaired in Sudan.

 

Alnour Institute for the Visually Impaired is run by the Sudan Ministry of Education, it currently has approximately 120 students

 

 

Cubarithm is a basic tool that teaches the visually impaired arithmetics

 

In collaboration with Glimmer of Hope, the Sudanese American Medical Association was able to procure 130 Cubarithms for Alnour Institute for the Visually Impaired (1 for each student with 10 spare for wear and tear) from the United States. The total cost of the 130 Cubarithms is $6115 (a unit costs $46 with $150 for shipping from US vendor to SAMA storage space).

Brannan Slate & Cubes
