About the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, the University of Gadarif
FMHS, University of Gadarif was established in 1997. To date, 24 batches graduated from the faculty with more than 1000 medical graduates. 251 nurses graduated from the Faculty of Nursing
It is located on an area of 23,500 square meters very close to Gadarif Teaching Hospital, with 90 teaching staff (60 full-time academic and 30 part-time staff).
Vision & Curriculum
FMHS, University of Gadarif has the vision to build an exceptional socially accountable school that is responsive to the changing needs of our country through leadership in education, research, and patient care. The FMHS curriculum is Integrated Community-Oriented, &Problem-Based. It addresses the main health problems in the community with the intention to graduate qualified outstanding doctors at a high academic standard. The curriculum is taught in 41 courses, 213 credit hours over 188 weeks.
Dr. Sami Eldirdiri Elgaili Salah
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine
Dr. Eldirideri is an Associate Professor of Surgery at FMHS, Senior consultant
of Surgery at Gadarif Teaching Hospital, and General Director of Gadarif Diabetic Center. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Health Professions Education
(HPE). He has published 27 Papers in related disciplines and fields with more than 50 National and International Educational Courses and Professional Workshops.

Dr. Ahmed Abdelrahim Mohamed Elamin Musbah
Dr. Ahmed Musbah graduated from the faculty of medicine, at the University of Gadarif, and is a currently a house officer at Gadarif Teaching Hospital
He has one scientific paper in press & has organized several local conferences.
