We are honored to welcome Dr. Linda Saleh to the SAMA Board of Directors. Dr. Saleh is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Khartoum, with extensive expertise in public health. She holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Khartoum, a Master’s in Dental Public Health from the University of Iowa, and a Clinical MD in Dental Public Health from the Sudan Medical Specialization Board, where she now serves as President of the Dental Public Health Council.
Dr. Saleh brings significant experience in public health education and policy from her leadership roles at the Federal Ministry of Health in Sudan. As Head of Academic Programs at the Public Health Institute, she has developed and managed impactful academic programs and coordinated national health research projects. Her efforts reflect a strong commitment to advancing healthcare and improving training standards for public health professionals.
On the Board, Dr. Saleh aims to foster inclusivity within SAMA and strengthen public health outreach and educational support for healthcare professionals in Sudan. Her leadership and dedication will be instrumental in helping SAMA reach new milestones, and we are excited to see the positive contributions she will bring.
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Ali Elkhedr to the SAMA Board of Directors. Dr. Elkhedr is a PGY2 Internal Medicine Resident at Marshfield Clinic Health System in Wisconsin. A graduate of the University of Khartoum’s Faculty of Medicine, he brings a wealth of clinical experience from his roles in Sudan and Saudi Arabia, where he served as a senior house physician. His background spans intensive care, emergency, and cardiology settings, equipping him with a unique skill set to address complex healthcare challenges with expertise and adaptability.
Dr. Elkhedr has consistently demonstrated a commitment to mentorship and professional growth. As an Advisory Board member with SAMA, he has actively contributed to the Road to US Residency program, where his insights and experience have supported SAMA’s staff and volunteers aspiring to practice in the United States. His commitment to education extends to his roles as a USMLE tutor and as a teaching assistant at Ahfad University, where he provided invaluable clinical training to students preparing for advanced medical practice.

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Moiud Mohyeldin to the SAMA Board of Directors. Dr. Mohyeldin is currently a PGY3 Internal Medicine Resident at BronxCare Health System, affiliated with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. He holds a medical degree from the University of Medical Sciences and Technology in Sudan, where he graduated with distinction. His extensive involvement in both clinical practice and academic research, particularly in cardiology, has earned him multiple publications in well-regarded medical journals.
Dr. Mohyeldin has been a dedicated advocate for Sudanese medical professionals, serving on SAMA’s Advisory Board and contributing to the Road to US Residency program. Through this initiative, he has supported Sudanese medical graduates by sharing his insights and experiences on navigating the complex pathway to US medical residency.
Beyond his clinical and mentoring work, Dr. Mohyeldin co-founded the Barana Hanabneiho Organization in Sudan, where he led finance and budgeting for educational programs, underscoring his commitment to community-focused initiatives. His unique perspective as a Sudanese physician in the US brings valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities within our community. We are excited to have him on the Board, confident that his experience and dedication will help drive SAMA’s mission forward.
