Dr. Nahla Gadalla

Dr. Nahla Gadalla, PhD, is an accomplished entrepreneur and expert in infectious diseases with over a decade of experience in program development, management, and scientific writing. Holding a PhD in Molecular Biology of Infectious Diseases from LSHTM, she has numerous publications and awards to her name. Dr. Gadalla’s work has contributed significantly to the field, demonstrating her commitment to advancing public health. Currently, she serves as President of the Sudanese American Medical Association (SAMA), furthering its mission and initiatives.


Vice President

Dr. Linda Saleh

Cairo, Egypt

Dr. Linda Saleh, B.D.S., M.Sc., M.D., is a distinguished expert in dental public health based in Cairo, Egypt. She currently serves as President of the Dental Public Health Council at the Sudan Medical Specialization Board and as an Assistant Professor at the University of Khartoum’s Faculty of Dentistry. With extensive experience in academic leadership, curriculum development, and research, Dr. Saleh has published influential works and spearheaded public health initiatives throughout Sudan, significantly advancing dental public health education and policy.


Secretary General

Dr. Mohamed Ahmed

Dr. Mohammed Ahmed (Abadi) is the Secretary General of the Sudanese American Medical Association (SAMA) for the 2026–2027 term. A graduate of the University of Khartoum (MBBS, 2021), he completed his house officer training in Sudan before joining SAMA’s Cairo team as an intern in 2024. During this period, he played a key role in developing SAMA’s Learning Management System, strengthening the organization’s capacity for education and training.

Mentored by the late Dr. Bushra Ibnauf, Dr. Ahmed embodies SAMA’s core values of excellence, integrity, and kindness. At under 30 years old, he is the youngest Secretary General and Board member in SAMA’s history, reflecting the organization’s commitment to cultivating and elevating leaders from within.

Mr. Osama Abdelrahim

Cairo, Egypt

Mr. Osama Abdelrahim is an experienced Senior Manager of Internal Audit with a robust background in the retail industry. Based in Cairo, Egypt, he is skilled in Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, Accounting, COSO, and Risk Assessment. Mr. Abdelrahim holds a B.Com in Accounting from Ain Shams University, Cairo, and is certified as a CIA, CFE, and CRBA. He has previously served as Senior Manager of Internal Audit at Al Maha Petroleum Products Marketing Co. SAOG. Currently, he serves as the Treasurer of the Sudanese American Medical Association (SAMA), contributing his expertise to the organization’s financial oversight.

Mr. Ammar Abbas

Mr. Ammar Abbas is a SAMA Board of Directors member based in West Kirby, UK. As a Medicines Information & Medicines Management Pharmacist at Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, he brings extensive expertise in planning, critical appraisal, costing, and the technical execution of healthcare projects involving pharmaceutical components. Mr. Abbas is skilled at collaborating with regulatory authorities to meet project objectives and is known for his strong networking, negotiation, and communication abilities. These competencies enable him to effectively manage complex projects in the pharmaceutical sector and drive successful outcomes.

Dr. Moiud Mohyeldin

Dr. Moiud Mohyeldin, M.B., B.S., is an accomplished physician currently pursuing an Internal Medicine residency at BronxCare Health System, affiliated with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He completed his medical education at the University of Medical Sciences & Technology (UMST) in Sudan. Dr. Mohyeldin has held diverse roles, including faculty positions in physiology and co-founding the Barana Hanabneiho Organization, where he managed educational budgets and initiatives. An Advisory Board member of the Sudanese American Medical Association (SAMA), he has mentored Sudanese medical graduates. With extensive clinical experience, research contributions, and leadership, he aims to strengthen SAMA’s mentorship and collaborative efforts.
