Empowering New ECHO Partners to Respond to Healthcare Emergencies in Sudan

The Sudanese American Medical Association (SAMA) is proud to announce the launch of its first Partner Launch Training (PLT) under Project ECHO, taking place on January 13–15, 2026.
This training marks a major milestone in SAMA’s role as a Project ECHO Super Hub, as we continue to expand virtual learning programs that strengthen healthcare capacity in Sudan and respond to urgent health emergencies.
Why Partner Launch Training
Since becoming a Project ECHO Hub in 2021, SAMA has used the ECHO model to train local healthcare providers in Sudan through mentorship-based learning and virtual education. After the outbreak of war, SAMA leveraged ECHO to fill critical gaps in medical education—supporting frontline providers with case-based discussions, learning sessions, and access to global expertise during one of Sudan’s most challenging humanitarian periods.
In 2025, SAMA expanded its mission by becoming a Project ECHO Super Hub, recruiting and training emerging ECHO partners. In 2026, SAMA is building on this progress by launching the Partner Launch Training to help partners develop and lead their own ECHO programs, aligned with Sudan’s urgent healthcare priorities.
Training Goal
To prepare emerging partners with the competencies required to design, implement, and manage a successful ECHO program using the Project ECHO model.
