Overview
The Nutrition ECHO program is a virtual learning series designed to address the growing nutrition crisis in Sudan, brought on by the ongoing war. As malnutrition rates rise among vulnerable populations—especially children under five, pregnant women, adults with chronic diseases, and internally displaced persons (IDPs)—the need for trained healthcare providers has become urgent.
Through the renowned ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) model, this program bridges knowledge gaps by connecting Sudanese healthcare workers with local and global subject matter experts in nutrition and public health.
Purpose
To empower healthcare workers in Sudan with critical knowledge on nutrition-related topics amidst conflict and displacement, this webinar series will comprehensively explore the core components of an effective nutrition program.
