Alnuhood, West Kordofan state was severely affected by flooding and over 2000 people were displaced. SAMA members raised funds to provide 4X4 m high-quality tents to provide shelter to those who have lost their homes.

SAMA member donations were used to purchase essential laboratory equipment & test supplies for two health centers in Kassala.

In 2017, An Acute Watery Diarrhea outbreak hit different parts of Sudan. SAMA funded local organizations to raise awareness, set up isolation camps, distribute sanitizing soap, and spray pesticides in the affected areas.
