Esra S. Salih, MBBS, MPH
Deputy Director, Sudan Office
Dr. Esra Salih was appointed in 2018 to lead SAMA’s Midwifery Training Program. She expanded this program from a single state to a national program spanning several states. In 2019, Dr. Salih was promoted to the position of Deputy Director. Dr. Salih’s is instrumental to representing SAMA to partners and donors in Sudan. She currently leads SAMA programs and staff in Sudan. Dr. Salih graduated from Ahfad University in 2008 and completed MPH in 2016 from the same university. Prior to joining SAMA, she worked with the Sudan Federal Ministry of Health.
Abdulmajid A. Abdulmagid, BSc
Abdulmajid was appointed to SAMA in March 2019 to support the IT needs at SAMA’s Primary Healthcare Center. He later took on the position of accountant. Abdjulmajid graduated with a Bachelor’s degree (with honors) in Information Technology from the University of Khartoum in 2018.
Sahar Ebrahim, BSc
Maternal & Child Health Officer
Sahar was appointed to SAMA in October 2019 as Maternal & Child Health Officer. She is working to establish the child health program with FMOH and KSMOH. Sahar graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Public Health (with honors) from the University of Khartoum & currently working on her Master’s degree in Public Health.
Yussra Mohamed, MBBS, MPH
Dr. Yussra was appointed to SAMA in October 2019 as SAMA Programs Officer. She is responsible for expanding the scope of SAMA programs in gender-based violence and other areas. Dr. Yussra graduated from Ahfad University in 2014, and earned a Master’s degree in Public Health from the American University in Beirut in 2017.
Mahmoud A. Rudwan Sanhori
SAMA professional cameraman and videographer
Mahmoud has joined SAMA Media team as a professional cameraman and videographer in January of 2015. Since then he has been providing photo and video documentation of many of SAMA programs in Sudan including multiple Humanitarian Missions and many educational activities related to SAMA Visiting Faculty Program. His role in the documentation of SAMA Humanitarian programs was instrumental in the production of high-quality videos that showed the impact of SAMA missions on the quality of life of patients. Mahmoud has more than 17 years of experience in the Media field and he was employed as the Director of Shooting Operations & Cameraman with Alhurra Channel between 2007 and 2015. He is currently working as an affiliate for the Associated Press office in Khartoum, Sudan.
