Dr. Safaa Merghani
Port Sudan, Sudan
Safaa Merghani Mohammed AwadAllah, a Sudanese Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) specialist, is based in Port Sudan and committed to serving Sudan. She holds a BDS from the University of El Gezira (2013) and a Clinical MSc in OMFS from the University of Khartoum (2020). Safaa served as SAMA’s Sudan Office Director from May to December 2023 and chose to remain in Port Sudan to continue her impactful work. With extensive experience in public hospitals, private clinics, and academia, she combines clinical expertise with a deep dedication to healthcare education and improving access to quality care in Sudan.

Mohamed Abdelazim Ahmed is a Mechanical Engineer with a diverse background in technical support, project management, and creative documentation. Currently serving as an After-Sales Engineer at ACTIC Engineering, he excels in providing technical solutions, managing maintenance tasks, and ensuring optimal equipment performance and customer satisfaction. Mohamed’s experience extends to training clients and offering innovative approaches to complex technical challenges.
He has also contributed to the Sudanese American Medical Association, where he honed skills in reporting, follow-up, and evaluation. A graduate of Red Sea University with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Mohamed combines critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork to drive success in engineering and project management.
Dr. Ahmedeltayeb Elsamani

Dr. Ahmed Eltayeb Elsamani is an Emergency Medicine Registrar and the Medical Director at Port Sudan Teaching Hospital. He is dedicated to advancing emergency care, infection control, and healthcare system improvement in Sudan. Passionate about education, Dr. Elsamani actively fosters collaboration among healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes. Committed to staying in Sudan, he leverages his extensive experience and leadership in emergency medicine to improve healthcare access and quality, driving impactful and sustainable advancements in medical services for his community and beyond.
