SAMA Humanitarian Relief Award

Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim

In recognition of its tireless commitment to humanitarian service and its critical role in providing relief and hope to the people of Sudan,  SAMA is proud to present the Humanitarian Relief Award to the “We Are All Values” organization.

The “We Are All Values” (WAV) organization, founded in 2014, has consistently played a pivotal role in humanitarian relief efforts across Sudan. Before the war, WAV was involved in supporting children with cancer in Khartoum, Wad Madani, and Merowe, providing critical assistance in their treatment and care. The organization also launched initiatives to assist asthma patients, supplying essential oxygen and medications to those in need. Through a collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), WAV further expanded its reach by participating in immigrant protection projects, demonstrating a broad commitment to supporting vulnerable populations.

Following the outbreak of war in April 2023, WAV responded to the escalating humanitarian crisis by expanding its central kitchen initiative across seven states. These kitchens served daily meals to approximately 5,000 displaced families. Recognizing the difficulty of operating in all areas due to the conflict, WAV trained local volunteers to set up and manage central kitchens in regions where their representatives couldn’t be physically present. Despite the incredibly challenging conditions, WAV remained one of the few functional humanitarian organizations during the active conflict.

For more than 18 months, WAV has been a trusted implementing partner of SAMA. SAMA’s role is to provide the funds to support the projects, while WAV has leveraged its on-the-ground expertise for implementation. This partnership began with an initiative to provide daily meals to displaced families in the White Nile. As the situation evolved, the project expanded to include Port Sudan and Kassala. Together, SAMA and WAV have worked tirelessly to alleviate the suffering of displaced populations, reinforcing their shared commitment to humanitarian service and community support in Sudan.

The award will be received by Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim, the Administrative Manager of the Organization
