From December 25 to 29, 2024, the Dr. Isam Osman Mobile Rescue Team traveled on a mission to Sinkat, a remote district in the Red Sea State, delivering vital healthcare services to underserved communities affected by the war. This mission, carried out in partnership with the We Are All Values organization and Shabab Alkhair-Sinkat, exemplifies our commitment to bridging healthcare gaps and supporting local healthcare infrastructure.
Why We Came
Sinkat, home to resilient communities, has been deeply impacted by the war in Sudan, with approximately 11,900 displaced individuals seeking refuge in the area, according to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), which strained the already fragile healthcare system
In response, the Dr. Isam Osman Mobile Rescue Team traveled to Sinkat with the following objectives:
- Support Sinkat Hospital with medications and supplies
- Provide free healthcare services to underserved communities.
- Deliver health education to empower the local population with knowledge.
Our Heroes: The Heart of the Mission
The success of the mission to Sinkat was made possible by the dedication and teamwork of our incredible heroes. The Dr. Isam Osman Mobile Rescue Team included a project manager who ensured smooth coordination and execution, three doctors providing expert consultations and medical care, two pharmacists dispensing essential medications, four laboratory technicians conducting critical diagnostic tests, and five volunteers offering invaluable support throughout the mission.
Our team worked side by side with the staff at Sinkat Hospital, amplifying their efforts to serve the community. They were also joined by local doctors and volunteers, whose commitment and local expertise were vital to the mission’s impact. Together, they created a seamless collaboration that brought hope and healing to those in need.
