Dr. Naeem Toosy

Dr. Naeem Toosy is an emergency physician in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. He is also a current member of the SAMA Advisory Board and was a member of Dr. Isam Osman Award Committee in 2024. Dr. Toosy has been a dedicated advocate for preserving the legacy of the late Dr. Isam Osman. Through his involvement in SAMA’s initiatives, he continues to uphold Dr. Osman’s vision of advancing compassionate healthcare and supporting impactful humanitarian efforts.

Dr. Ayman Ahmed

Dr. Ayman Ahmed, an adjunct associate professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is a highly accomplished vascular surgeon and a long-time supporter of SAMA. In 2024, he served on the SAMA Advisory Board and was a member of the Dr. Isam Osman Award Committee playing a significant role in recognizing surgical excellence. Additionally, he collaborated closely with the late Dr. Isam Osman to advance vascular surgery in Sudan through the Sudanese Association of Vascular Surgeons, working to enhance surgical education and patient care in the region.

Dr. Ahmed Gaweesh

Dr. Ahmed Gaweesh is a Consultant in Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Interventions in Egypt and the UAE and a Senior Lecturer with a Doctorate in Vascular Surgery from Alexandria University. He serves as Vice President of the Egypt African Venous & Lymphatic Association (EAVLA) and is an Executive Board Member of the European College of Phlebology (ECoP).


Dr. Nahla Gadalla

Dr. Nahla Gadalla serves as the President of SAMA, leading the organization with a strong commitment to advancing healthcare and humanitarian initiatives. She is a Global Health expert specializing in managing health services, clinical trials, and health education. Dr. Gadalla holds a PhD from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, where she focused on the Molecular Genetics of infectious diseases. Her leadership has been instrumental in strengthening SAMA’s medical education and humanitarian relief programs.

Mr. Abdulmajid Osman

Mr. Abdulmajid Osman serves as the Director of IT and HR at SAMA. Previously, he was the Director of Operations at SAMA’s Sudan office in Khartoum. Following the outbreak of war, established the Dr. Bushra Ibnauf Center for Learning in Port Sudan, ensuring continuity in education and training for healthcare professionals. Upon establishing the center, he assumed the role of Sudan Office Director, overseeing SAMA’s operations in Sudan. With intimate, firsthand knowledge of the healthcare sector and humanitarian relief landscape in Sudan, Mr. Osman continues to lead initiatives that support both medical education and emergency response efforts.

Dr. Mohamed Almahal

Dr. Mohamed Almahal serves as the Executive Director of SAMA. He has been instrumental in leading SAMA’s initiatives to improve healthcare and provide humanitarian relief in Sudan, playing a key role in fundraising, digital marketing, and strategic planning.
Dr. Almahal worked closely with the late Dr. Isam Osman in training surgery residents in Sudan through the Trauma ECHO program, which Dr. Isam led following the war. He continues to honor and support Dr. Isam Osman’s legacy by organizing the Dr. Isam Osman Humanitarian Program, ensuring that his vision for surgical education and humanitarian service endures.
