Our learning programs
SAMA Scholars Club
The SAMA Scholars Club is a membership-based program that creates a supportive and resource-rich learning environment. Members gain access to optimized study spaces at the center and have the opportunity to participate in specialized courses, including English language programs from Arizona State University. The club creates a community of learners, providing mentorship, networking opportunities, and a pathway to the SAMA internship position and future career development. It’s a space where learners can collaborate and grow
The center actively participates in Project ECHO, a global initiative to expand healthcare knowledge through virtual learning. The ECHO model connects local healthcare professionals in Sudan and Sub-Saharan Africa with global experts, enabling them to share knowledge and collaborate on complex medical cases. The flexibility of the model allows for addressing various training needs. Through this program, healthcare workers receive ongoing education and support, helping to improve healthcare outcomes in under-resourced areas.
The Simulation-Based Education program at the center offers healthcare professionals the opportunity to practice and enhance their clinical skills in a realistic, controlled environment. Using advanced simulation technology, participants can engage in hands-on training, working through medical scenarios such as emergencies or complex procedures without the risks of real-life consequences. This interactive form of education helps healthcare workers build confidence and expertise, preparing them to handle high-stakes situations in their daily practice more effectively.
The center also provides Virtual Reality (VR) Training in collaboration with the Virtual Reality in Medicine and Surgery (VRiMS) as a cutting-edge educational tool for healthcare professionals. By immersing learners in a simulated, 3D environment, VR allows them to practice procedures, navigate medical cases, and engage with complex concepts in a highly interactive way. The virtual reality hub is particularly valuable for professionals in remote or resource-limited areas, providing access to high-quality training that would otherwise be difficult to obtain.
