- 2013: Facilitated 35 observerships across various specialties, including cardiology, pediatrics, and internal medicine.
- 2015: Reached a record 49 placements, providing tailored mentorship and clinical exposure.
- 2016: Partnered with prominent institutions such as Indiana University and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, achieving 50 placements.
Research Opportunities
- Introduced in 2013, SAMA’s research trainee positions have empowered Sudanese physicians to work on impactful projects at renowned U.S. institutions.

Interview Skills Workshops
In 2012, SAMA initiated workshops to help residency applicants excel in U.S. residency interviews. These workshops feature mock interviews, personalized feedback, and strategies to navigate competitive processes.

- 2015: Hosted workshops in Detroit and Chicago, with 52 and 33 participants, respectively.
- 2016: The Chicago workshop had 47 attendees and received glowing reviews for its effectiveness in preparing candidates.
