The award aims to recognize and celebrate the person who exemplified Dr. Bushra Ibnauf Sulieman’s legacy of giving. The awardee is a person who made a significant contribution to people in Sudan without having the chance to live and work in Sudan in the last 5 years.

The award will be presented on May 26th, 2024 in Washington DC.

• Open to individuals of any nationality, of either gender, of any profession 
• The nominee should have not resided or worked in Sudan (continuously) within the last 5 years prior to Apr 15, 2023. 
• The nominee must have efforts/achievements or stood out in the philanthropic, humanitarian, social, academic or professional spheres and preferably had their positive impact reach beyond their field. 
• The nominee should be universally likable and not a divisive or controversial figure. 
• Consideration for the Award is only open to nomination by other individuals/others, i.e. self-nomination is not accepted.
