Context

Sudan is facing one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises: millions displaced, children going hungry, and families struggling for survival. But even in the darkest moments, the Sudanese spirit remains unbroken.
Across continents, the Sudanese diaspora carries this spirit with pride, resilience, and creativity. This competition invites artists and designers to turn that spirit into wearable art—designs that reflect our stories, struggles, and strength as a global Sudanese community.
Why art?
Art has always been a voice of resilience in Sudan. By donating your art, you’re not only supporting urgent relief—you’re raising awareness, art can be a voice of hope, preserving Sudanese culture, and showing solidarity with millions suffering in silence.
The Sudanese American Medical Association (SAMA) is selling T-shirts and channeling the proceeds to support Sudan and Darfur directly.
We are seeking bold, authentic, and innovative designs that celebrate heritage while embracing modernity. Submissions should incorporate SAMA’s colors, uniting your creative vision with our mission to stand in solidarity with Sudan and the Darfur region.
Together, let’s wear our stories, share our strength, and respond to Sudan’s call for hope.
