SAMA’s Board of Directors is calling for nominations for the Secretary General position 2026-2027. A voluntary, unpaid position.
As per the SAMA 2022 bylaws amendment, the BOD positions are open to all persons who believe in the SAMA vision and mission, regardless of profession or national origin.

- The composition of the SAMA BOD 2026-2027 is as follows:
- President – Dr. Nahla Gadalla
- Vice President – Dr. Linda Saleh
- Treasurer – Mr. Osama Mirghani
- Member – Ammar Abbas
- Member – Dr. Mouid Khair
About the Secretary General Position
The Secretary-General keeps track of important documents, such as meeting notes and rules governing the organization’s operations. They also make sure these are available to board members when needed and help with other tasks the board gives them. For more details, read the bylaws by clicking here
Recruitment Process
- Nominations Open on Friday, June 20th, 2025.
- Shortlisted nominees will be invited to join the monthly BOD meeting held on the third Saturday of every month at 9 am Central Time as follows:
- July 19th 2025
- August 16th 2025
- September 20th 2025
- October 18th 2025
- November 15th 2025
- December 20th 2025
- During that meeting, they will get to meet the other BOD members and gain a better understanding of how the BOD works.
- If they’re still interested and the Board thinks they’re a good fit, they will be chosen as Secretary General.
- Nominees who accept the nomination will be announced in January 2026.
